Alexander Hooikammer

Alexander Hooikammer likes to push his own boundaries in both his work and in his leisure time. He likes to play football, to go out jogging and to participate in running events.

In 2014, Alexander received his Bachelor of Public Management, Applied Safety and Security Studies at the Hogeschool van Utrecht of the Netherlands, then he got his masters degree in Political Science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Since October 2017, Alexander has been working as a European Voluntary Service volunteer at YIC NGO – Gyumri Youth Initiative Centre, where he provides young people with a chance of intercultural learning and interaction. Recently, he has started writing a project that will promote entrepreneurship amongst families and young people in the rural areas surrounding Gyumri. Moreover, his work on YIC’s crowdfunding campaign supports the establishment of the Youth House: Open Youth Centre in Gyumri, which aims to reach out to young people.
